EARTHQUAKE IMPACT

On January 12th, Haiti experienced a devastating earthquake, shocking the world with the trail of destruction and massive casualties. This tragic event triggered the depths of human will to help, showing presence and concern almost every country of the world.

We have been expressed the solidarity and concern by many MA’s around the world, trying to step up and help our brother ATCO’s from Haiti. As this concern arises, help started to flow.

ADCA created the Haitian Humanitarian Help Commission to provide resources all the necessary assistance to our brother air traffic controllers. For this we will publish all the information regarding the helping methods and resources in case more MA’s are willing to help.

It is important to emphasize that tourism in our country has not been affected; no problems of any kind occurred, and most important: The facilities where the Conference will be held suffered no harm. We are ready to receive the entire IFATCA community next April as we work hard to make your stay a comfortable and pleasant one in this small but beautiful island.
